Forward | Princeton, New Jersey Child Photographer

I know I have been a bad blogger! Sorry for that!

The past few months have been a little nuts.   I’ve had some great photo shoots with some great people, got through my son’s hip and eye surgeries, continuing to work on his recovery, finished designing our new house and moved into a too small condo.   Just a little busy!     But with all of that behind me, I’m taking the time to finally breathe a little, count my blessings and look forward.   I’m looking forward to the next year and all the possibilities that lie ahead.   Being able to make a career in photography (something I adore) just gives me chills.  I’m not sure what the road ahead will entail, but I sure am excited to find out!

Here are a couple of shots from a session this past weekend.  I don’t think this cutie was too thrilled with me at first!  LOL!  But she came around quickly and we had a blast!   Hope you enjoy it!

Happy Happy! | NJ Portrait Photographer

Life has been a bit hectic lately and now it seems 2009 will be over before you know it!   I feel like an old fart when I say the days are just flying by, but it is true.    This Christmas will be extra special because my 4 year old totally gets it now and is soooooo excited about Santa.    I mean super excited.   To see the joy on his face is present enough for me!   My 17 month is a little young to understand but he also gave me an early Christmas present and FINALLY started sleeping through the night!  Well, its more like he sleeps until 5:30-6:00am, but I’ll take what I can get!  Hola!!

The upcoming winter months will be busy as well — my son’s hip surgery is coming up, we’re (hopefully) preparing to move soon and breaking ground on our new home.    I’m looking forward to getting through the next few months and the return of some warm weather already!!!

On a positive note, I’ll be officially launching my photography business in the spring, so stay tuned because I’ll have some exciting stuff planned!

I wish everyone a wonderful holiday season!    Enjoy and celebrate all the special moments!

To be sixteen again?? | NJ Senior Photographer

I’m getting bombarded with emails about my upcoming 20th High School reunion.  Yes, 20!  Lord, the time has just flown by.  At first, I thought it must be a mistake.  They must have me confused with someone else because there is no way I – ME – could be having a 20 year reunion.  But, sadly its true.   ;^)   It has me reminiscing about old times.   About big hair, crazy clothes, fun times and strict parents.    After my session with the beautiful N, I realize that some things never change.   Two decades later and the topics are still pretty much the same.   Technology has made things a little easier (& scarier) but the essence definitely remains the same.   The question is, would I go back and do it all over again given the opportunity?   I think it depends on when you ask me this.  My answer changes day-to-day.   Today I think its definitely a No.   Maybe.

Here is a photo of a gorgeous sixteen year old who has her whole life ahead of her.  Use it wisely, N!

Something to brighten your day…

I love the Color Me Katie blog.  God, if I have just half of the creativity she possesses, I’m in good shape!   I saw this POST the other day and it just put a smile on my face ear to ear.   I hope it does the same for you!

So, today lets celebrate thinking outside of the box!
